Great news, Line2 users! (We really should come up with a nickname for you guys - contest?)

Version 9.0 of Line2 for iOS is here!  This is a major update for a number of reasons:

Line2 is the first app to feature the new state of the art in voice technology, the Opus audio codec.  Opus provides unmatched voice quality over WiFi, 3G and LTE, with lower bandwidth requirements.  iPhone to iPhone calls using Line2 9.0 are crystal clear.

  • Line2 9.0 is iPhone5 and iOS6 optimized, with a beautiful new keypad for the Retina display. And the connectivity issues that you've been having since iOS6 came out have been addressed!
  • We're also excited to announce that with Line2 9.0, auto-renewing subscriptions are now available through the iTunes App Store for $9.99 a month. 

So, don't wait, get on board with Line2 version 9.0!

If you already have a Line2 account, please perform the following steps to uninstall, and then reinstall Line2:

To delete the Line2 application from your device, press and hold the Line2 icon until the icon begins to shake. Once this happens, an “X” will appear on the top-right corner of the icon for you to press. This deletes the application. Then, please power off your device.  Leave it off for a minute and then turn it back on.

Once your device has powered up again, reinstall the app. To ensure the latest software version is downloaded to your device, make sure you are not tethered to your machine- you don't want to sync the last version of the app.  Visit the iTunes App Store on your device, search for “Line2” and download the application.  Choose 'Log In' and sign in with your Line2 number and password.

Please note: Line2 9.0 requires iOS5 or later.

During Q3 of 2012, we handled over 18,000 support requests. (More than 9,000 emails and 8,000 calls!)

After each of those interactions, we asked this question: If you were running a similar business to ours, on a scale of 1-10, how likely would you be to hire the customer service representative that assisted you? The response has been overwhelming: over 80% of you rated our service an 8 or above.

One of the new features of iOS6 is a privacy menu with toggles to restrict the contacts, locations, and photos saved on your iOS device from third party applications.

To ensure full functionality of Line2, you'll have to allow it access to that information.
